After today’s hiking adventure in the Austrian Alps, we were both completely famished!
We each had a post-hike pampering sesh – the boy went for a long massage at Aurelio Spa while I opted for a good ol’ traditional hot bubbly bath back in the room.
With rumbling tummies to attend to and thirst to quench, it was time to head down to the hotel’s amazing gourmet restaurant, Aurelio’s, once more to have our last supper in Lech *sob sob*.
Our Amuse Bouche for the evening – Vegetable antipasti with parmesan cheese crisps and focaccia bread.
Marinated goose liver terrine with wild herb salad and served with caramelised brioche.
Beef consommé with frittaten (sliced pancakes).
Pork belly (cooked sous vide and then smoked) and pickled salmon. This dish was seriously ‘Outta this world!’ delicious! Who would’ve thought that pork and salmon could work harmoniously in a dish!
Another winning dessert – Hugo Royal.
Made with champagne, champagne jelly, elderflower sorbet, elderflower sparling wine (made in-house), lemon gel, lemon malto and decorated with lemon zest, mint leaf and needle leaves. Light, refreshing, fizzy and alcoholic – Just what you need to end a deliciously light summery meal.
After a few glasses of red wine later, we were not ready to head back to the room and say goodnight just yet. We could not leave happily without seeing the town at night.
I have a thing with seeing the nightlife of every place I visit and seeing how a place lights up in the evening. I believe each place comes alive in its own special way when the sun goes down!
So, off for a romantic stroll into town we go…
Gute Nacht beautiful Lech!
All my ♥,
