After a deliciously long and uninterrupted sleep, I was up early and raring to go for our first hiking adventure in Sa Pa.
The Boy and I were picked up from our accommodation at Topas Ecolodge and then driven to the start of the hike near Nam Nhiu village. We were surrounded by glorious views of mountains and rice terraces the entire way! Not long after passing by the Blue H’mong village of Nam Than, we arrived at our destination, the Red Dao minority village of Nam Cang.
Once in Nam Cang, we headed over to Nam Cang Riverside Lodge where we settled for lunch and for a spot of R&R. It took us around 4 to 5 hours to get here from Nam Nhiu village. We could easily have done it in around 3 to 4 hours, but what’s the rush?! We wanted to enjoy our hike to the max and embrace the beautiful surroundings! Aaaaaaaaand we also wanted to take like bajillions of photos, of course ;p
We ended the day’s adventure with a refreshing (freezing) dip in the nearby river!
Cute lil’ hogs.
Following the leader…
Endless rice terraces.
Day out with the chicks.
Loving the colours of the duck on the left!
Red Dao women and children.
These two were the cutest little things!
Back at the lodge.
Just in time to watch the beaut skies turn into night.
All my ♥,
