The Boy and I were invited to visit La Crêperie‘s branch in Causeway Bay to check out their newly launched weekday lunch menu.
The lunch menu, named Crêpe Escape, is made out of 10 authentic Breton main course dishes, which come with tea or coffee. You have the option to try out their infamous artisanal apple cider from Brittany for an additional HK$20. For an additional HK$20, you can also sweeten things up by choosing a dessert from a list of 8 delicious wafer-thin crêpes.
For our mains, The Boy opted for the La Bigoudène and I went with the Lobster Salad. Our dishes were very scrumptious (I know The Boy seriously loved his one!) but I did wish that my salad dressing wasn’t mixed in with the salad; I like to have the option of adding however much dressing I want on my salads and not have it all drenched in sauce. But hey, that’s just me being picky!
Both of our starters and desserts were also very yummy! The carpaccio of scallops and the pan-fried foie gras were definite winners! However, the real cherry on top for this tasting must go to our desserts; The Le Baromètre crêpe for him and the La Proue crêpe pour moi. Honestly, from the second we both had our first bite to the second we scraped the last speck of salted butter caramel off our plates, The Boy and I basically sat in silence. Crêpes THAT good deserve your full attention and respect! My mouth is salivating just thinking about those damn crêpes!
Merci La Crêperie for our yummy lunch! Seeing as I’m already deciding on which crêpe dish to try next, I am sure I will be visiting you guys again very very soon! And hopefully others will too after reading this – one thing’s for sure, they won’t be disappointed!
